1982 - 1984: UV photoionization in atmospheric pulsed discharge devices;
Short-pulse Nd:YAG laser
1984 - 1988: Laser Spectroscopy using various lasers (including excimer, gas,
solid state and dye lasers); Optically pumped alkali metal excimer lasers
and Nonlinear Optics in metal vapors
1988 - 1991: Short-wavelength lasers by relativistic electron beam pumping;
Spectroscopy of VUV/XUV excimers; Laser Spectroscopy (including
laser cooling and trapping); and ab initio calculations of the potential
of ionic molecules
1992 - 1995: Metal vapor dimer lasers (including optics, electronics, and mechanics),
Spectroscopy of ionic excimers, Spectroscopy of BII group long-lifetime
excimers; soft x-ray lasers.
1995- Present: Applications of Laser Spectroscopy in Molecular Biology;
Biomedical Optics; Biophoton and Biophotonics Technology;
